When using our website, please bear in mind the following guidelines:

Etiquette according to The Quran

General
[3:103] And hold firmly to the rope of God, all of you, and do not be separated...

[4:86] When greeted with a greeting, you shall respond with a better greeting or an equal one. God is reckoner of all things.

[6:54] When those who believe in our revelations come to you, you shall say, "Peace be upon you..."

[ 73:10] And remain steadfast in the face of their utterances, and disregard them in a nice manner.

[4:148] God does not like the utterance of negative sayings, unless one is treated with gross injustice. God is Hearer, Knower.

[49:11] O you who believe, let not a people ridicule other people, for they may be better than they. Nor shall any women ridicule other women, for they may be better than they. Nor shall you mock one another, or call each other names. Evil indeed is the reversion to wickedness after attaining faith...

[49:12] O you who believe, you shall avoid any suspicion, for even a little bit of suspicion is sinful. You shall not spy on one another, nor shall you backbite one another...

[41:34] Not equal is the good response and the bad response. You shall resort to one which is better. Thus, the one who used to be your enemy, may become your best friend.

[17:53] And say to My servants to speak that which is best. The devil plants animosity between them. The devil was to mankind a clear enemy.

[28:55] When they come across vain talk, they disregard it and say, "We are responsible for our deeds, and you are responsible for your deeds. Peace be upon you. We do not seek the ignorant."

[16:125] You shall invite to the path of your Lord with wisdom and enlightenment, and debate with them in the best manner. Your Lord knows best who has strayed from His path, and He knows best who are the guided ones.

Relationships
[4:1] O people, be aware of your Lord who has created you from one soul and He created from it its pair...
[31:21] And from His signs is that He created for you mates from yourselves that you may reside with them, and He placed between you affection and mercy. In that are signs for a people who reflect.

[2:187] ...They are a garment for you and you are a garment for them...

[9:71] And the believing men and women, they are allies of one another. They order good and deter from evil, and they establish the bond, and bring forth the betterment, and they obey God and His messenger. God will have mercy on them; God is Noble, Wise.

[2:235] ...God knows that you will be thinking of them, but do not meet them secretly except to say what is good...
